Remembering Nolana Sue McCullough
Initiated Oct. 1, 1979

Nolana Sue McCullough, age 69, passed away early on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 at her home in Yukon, surrounded by her family. She was born May 19, 1949 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Nolan Ray and Margaret Ann(Taylor) Dunlap. Sue grew up in Claremore and was a graduate of Sequoyah High School, received her BA in special education from NE Oklahoma State University and her MA from UCO. She moved from Oklahoma City to Yukon in 1976 where she had a 36 year teaching career in the Yukon Public School System, where she was named teacher of the year on two different occasions. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband Dan of the home, one daughter Jennifer and fiancée Angela of Bartlesville, one son Nathan of Oklahoma City and one grandson Steven. Also by one brother Walter Dunlap and wife Kathy and their daughters Deidre and Lily. One sister Debi Bentley and husband Mack, their children Tracee McKenna and husband Scott and children Katie Ann and Morgan, Travis Bentley and fiancée Heather and daughters Stella and Aniya. Services will be held at 10am on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church, Yukon, Oklahoma with interment following in the Yukon Cemetery. Arrangements are by McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be held Friday, September 14, 2018, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of Dixie’s life will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 10:00 AM. Services will be held at First Christian Church of Yukon with interment following at Yukon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Yukon Public Schools Foundation for Excellence, First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Yukon, or a charity of your choice.
